UPDATE TIME

*It's been a whirlwind in the Howard house. So much has happened. Let me see if I can catch ya up (if ya even missed me at all)!

*I had my first back surgery last monday the 21st, it was AWFUL & sooooo very painful. Things didn't go very smoothly and it seems I am having a rare reaction were my nerves are more sensitive & causing me more pain & my muscles are getting tighter & cramping up more therefore causing more spasms. I was put on bedrest on Thursday for 7-10 days. Please pray that things will get worked out & that I can start to be pain free very soon. And again thank you all who have keep me in your prayers, thoughts & vibes. :)

*Jaxson has a job now!! Thank you, Jesus! The pay is ok (way, way less than what we are use to. We are talking more than half of what he was bringing in before), but we have a job & income coming in so I am more than thankful! God really looked out for us during this rough two months but things are starting to come together. We have a lot of catching up to do (bill wise & money we owe to my mom & brother) but I hope to have that paid off by Christmas.

*Speaking of Christmas...I don't know if I had blog about how I really wanted to do a homemade Christmas this year. Not a totally handmade but a lot of it. Not for money reason's (I had made up my mind before Jaxson lost his job that I wanted to do this), but because I want to make things simple as I can for my kids, myself, our family. For gifts to mean something. Layla is getting a dream kitchen that will make most grown women envy her! All handmade by myself, her Uncle Brant (my bro), & my Daddy's father. We've been working on plans & ideas all weekend & I am totally excited!! If this goes well then for her birthday she will be getting the matching, handmade, wooden washers & dryers & an ironing board. I have already started on her felt food & apron. I have a few other ideas for her & of course a few things I need to buy but because her handmade gift is her big one she is pretty much done. More details on all her goodies in another post.

*Now, this male child of mine is a little harder to do the handmade things for but I think I got it... a tepee! But if you have any other really neat, handmade ideas let me know! For either Ryker or Layla.

*We no longer have internet at our house (bummer). But after tons of problems with them & all sorts of stuff. We just had it turned off for a few months. It will help with getting other things paid off as well. And honestly I may keep it turned off till we can afford to buy a new computer. Ours is just getting way old & overloaded. And at times it just doesnt seem worth it so as of now we dont have internet at our house but I will be checking in when at my Mom's & stuff. So, text me if you need me or miss me! Even if you have never texted me before do so now! Im on bedrest & could totally use the company! (903)220-3055

Feeling a lil refreshed

Even though I have spent some time in the hospital this weekend, I feel better. My spirit feels WAY better.
I have been at my Mom & brother's house with my husband & kids & truly have had a wonderful time just relaxing, playing games, doing laundry, watching tv & just resting. It was truly what my soul needed.

Craptastic Week

Let's see here are random things that have happened in the last few days:

*Looks like my husband's unemployment won't be going through after all. And rent was due yesterday. Not to say anything about diapers & gas.

*My very best friend in the whole world, Brandy, is moving back to LA for at least a year. My heart is broken.

*Layla started off sick, then myself & now Ryker.

*I wont be going to see the Surgeon again till the very end of next week. Im out of pain pills. This just makes everything much worse. I *hate* being in this type of pain.

*My house looks like animals live here. It's a mess. But Im sure not going to keeping bending over to clean when & kill my back even more when nobody else is helping.

Please pray for me, for this whole family. God knows everything that is wrong.

Halloween Swap...Anyone???

Last year around this time I hosted a Halloween swap & had lots of fun! I was just wondering who might be interested in doing it again this year. If you think this is something you would want to do then hit me back! If you need more info, have questions then ask me!
Right now this is just to see who might want to play along. This is NOT the official sign up.

About the Swap:
Every lady will be randomly paired with some other lady & each will send the other a Halloween package full of all kinds of goodies! Rules are that there must be at least one handmade item. ANYTHING that you want to make as long as its handmade & relates to the theme of the swap (which this one is Halloween). Everything else can be bought in the store. Also include a card for your swap partner. Price limit is $20 BEFORE shipping! And try to come as close as you can to the limit so that every trade is fair.
We had a lot of fun last year & got some great little items out of it! So, let's go for it again this year! I know I sure could use the uplift right now.

A Pillowcase Dress...or Two

I think that the ribbon I used for this one totally makes this dress! She wore it Friday night for the first time and we got ton's of comments!

These two were my first sewing projects that I did 100%, totally on my own.

Nobody helping.

No pattern.

Just me.

Im rather proud of myself! I think they turned out cute & were super simple.

I have more problems with my sewing machine than with the project itself! lol

As soon as I get all the kinks worked out of the machine itself, I will be crancking these dresses out by the dozen! I bought a TON of fabric before Jaxson lost his job.

Now, I just have to make the matching bows!

FINALLY get my decor arranged the way I see it in my head...

Get something, anything for the front door...
Clean, purge, & organize this house...
Cook dinner...

The results from the interview on Monday...

I feel the need to craft. Not for TPB. But for me. I have had so many orders that I haven't had the chance to do anything for myself. It's very important to me that I create every single day. Something for me. Or something for someone. Not just something I was paid to create. While I love making items for my customers, it's a true joy, I need more.

It seems Im lacking in the craft department today. Im missing something to complete any project I want to start. And with Jaxson not having a job now I can't just pop up & run to the store.

I threw together some no bake chocolate cookies. Took out some salmon for dinner. Both kiddos are gone. Jax is asleep on the couch. Rain has been a visitor all day. And my mood is very blue.

Should I bite the bullet & grab a few bucks & get some new supplies? Or buck up and save those few bucks for the unknown?

My Husband Lost his Job...

Yesterday, Our world was turned upside down.

Jaxson lost his job.

After busting his ass for this company for 9 years they let him go for doing the right thing.

He was this store's general manager & he had no clue.

It's scary.

It sux.

It's totally not fair. (I will go into exactly why in another post though)

Please say a prayer for us because he was the only one who worked. I make extra money with Tickled Pink Boutique & thank you Jesus, that the last few weeks I have been super busy with orders. Thank you, JESUS! Yesterday, before this all happened I got another $117 in orders so it will help. So, just a reminder if you guys have ever wanted to order anything from me, now is the time! We could use any little thing we can get.

Please keep the Howard family in your thoughts & prayers. I really feel this was the best thing for us, something better us ahead for us all. Just two day before this happened Jaxson said he was tired of working there & needed a change, needed to be home more. But there is a huge difference from leaving & being forced to leave.

Again, thanks for keeping us in thoughts & prayer.

He was one week late & gave us an awful scare but he FINALLY came safe & sound!Robert "Jace" Howard-Parker ~ *9lbs 4oz *21.5 inches

But she wasn't sure at the same time. She became very fussy & whiney when certin people held the baby. She was really cute with him though. One of the first things she did was put her little finger on his tiny nose & say "Nose!"

Colors match his nursery. Super cute! Very proud of it. I was at a totally loss as what to make so it didn't get made until the wee hours of Saturday morning.

I ended up giving my number to the nurse who was helping us, she fell in love with it & just had to have my number! YAY ME!!

Oh, the best part about this project?

It cost me a whole $1 to make!!

I became Mrs. Jaxson D. Howard a year ago...WOW! Got him good!

We promised to not "smash" each other with cake but I got him anyway ;)

I absolutely LOVED our cake!
BTW, we took the top tier out of the freezer today & ate some before dinner. It was in almost perfect condition too! And it tasted just as good as it did a year ago!

A year ago today I married my best friend. (Truly! Jaxson & I started off as just friends & our relationship grew into something more with time.) It hasn't always been easy (they say the first year is the hardest & we have had a lot of challenges that most newlyweds don't have) I wouldn't give up being his wife for anything this world has to offer!
Jaxson, you are my everything! My reason for being. I am nothing without you & everything with you! I can't wait to see what life has in store for us, I look forward to growing old with you. I love you the most baby!

Just wanted to note that the cake it totally straight, I guess it was the angle of the camera or something.

This was a custom order for a bridal shower and I love the simple elegance of it!

The bottom tier has two bath towels.

I really liked how this one turned out! So much so I think Im going to make one for my cousins shower later this month.

To all my blogging friends I would like to ask you all to say a prayer, send good thought & vibes my way. I will be seeing my Dr. at 2:30 today about my back.
After a lot of trail & error it seems the only drug that works for me is vicodin (and I can handle this med just fine, I have on & off for 8 years because of my back) and a muscle relaxer, soma. I have tried everything there is to try for pain (OTC & prescription) and these are the only two that even begin to help with the pain. With that said I am not here to talk about if these are the right meds or not, only I know what is best for me.
I am asking for your prayers & thoughts about talking to the Doctor about giving me these meds. I have a feeling that this is where I am going to run into some road blocks because these can be harmful drugs when not used right. And so it seems the area we live in people tend to ask for these two drugs often. Matter of fact there are several Doctors in the area who went even give these out.
Please my sweet friends be with me in prayer as I go to the Doctor. I cannot live the way I am any longer. The pain has gotten so bad that more than half of my days are spent in bed or in the chair with pain so intense I can't move, help my family, clean, cook, or function. I am not living at all. It's taken a lot to get me to this point but I am here now and I am asking for help. So, please be with me.

Body Cleanse - Detox

Jaxson & I have been talking about doing a total body cleanse/detox for about a week now. We are really trying to change eating habit's, get some exercise and just becoming healthier beings not only for each other, our kids but for us as individuals. Over the last few weeks we have already made several small changes. We are drinking a lot more water and have really cut back on sodas. Eating less red meat and even going meat less a few times a week (this one would be super easy for me as I was a vegan most of my high school years but my husband HATES veggies & almost all fruits. To his credit he has really opened up and started trying new things. Bless him cause I would kill him if he didn't at least try it. lol). Adding more fresh veggies & fruits to meals & as our snacks. (This one is mainly me but I hope he will join soon). Anyway Im getting off course for this blog. ***Have you ever used a cleanse before? Would you use it again? How did you feel? Any advice you have? Anything at all send my way please!***

These are the top 3 that we are looking into at the moment. I have read a lot about them, can find them at local stores, are affordable & the feedback seem pretty descent. At this point in time I think I am leaning more towards the detox 7.
Im very excited and can't wait to start but I wanna wait a few more days and get a little more information before I begin.
Also, for all the healthy living bloggers out there give me any tips, ideas, sites, snacks, etc that you might have for us.
There is so much out there that I totally feel overwhelmed to say the least.

My To-Do List for Friday July 3rd

*Get busy on some orders: Two custom initial shirts & one pillowcase dress with matching bow.

*Gather all the kids clothes together that needs to be taken to the resale store & put in the car. ( This has been on my to do list for months now)

*Take said clothes to the resale store

*Go to Hobby Lobby to pick up supplies

*Clean house

*Do some laundry

All this needs to be done by 3pm as we are having some guest coming over. My cousin and her husband and two kids are coming over for dinner, board games, swimming & then we are off to watch fireworks!
It's already 4 am so I doubt I will be getting any sleep or very little. I really should get off of the computer and start some of the things on my to do list...

Major trouble with our internet. We ended up switching companies as our contract was out but yet we have had a few problems with them as well so we will see if we are back for good yet or not. lol

Layla's 1st Birthday Party

Due to all the excitement Mommy & Daddy forgot to take pics so what I have here is a few that my sister in law took. I haven't gotten a chance to edit them all but I wanted to post a few now but look for a big post with all the details soon!The birthday girl! Isn't she precious!?!
The car we got her. Jaxson really wanted to go ahead & get the car now and Im glad we did because it's also a stroller of sorts (it has a "floor board" and a handle of sorts on top) and when she gets bigger the floor board comes out.

It was like Layla knew that yesterday was her special day cause she was running around screaming and super excited all day long! While we were getting everything set up she went crazy with pure excitement, way cute!

Simple Easy Chic Table

The urn table Add rocks, sand or shells to the inside of the urn before adding the glass to add interest and stability to the urn. You might want to put felt squares on the bottom of the urn to keep it from damaging your floor and if you put plastic buttons (or dots) between the urn and the glass it will keep the glass from getting scratched up.

I am totally loving this idea for my patio! We are trying to redo that area, turn it into a nice little space not only for the kids but for us as well. I ran across this idea on another blog a few months ago and saved it for a special day and while trying to come up with something for the patio I suddenly remember this table. I think this gem of a table will be finding its way inbetween two of my chairs very soon.

New Diaper Cake and goodies

My sister in law, Jorrdan, is having a baby boy in July and we had her shower last Sunday. Baby Jace's nursery has tons of baby blue and chocolate brown so I went with those colors are the shower and the stuff I made.

The diaper cake turned out super cute and everyone raved over it! Jordan won't take it a part because it's so cute. lol I told her that I made that for Jace and if I have to come over there and take it a part myself that I would but I wasn't going to put it in my shop to sell as she wanted me to.

Now this lil thing that I have since named the Bucket 'O Diaper and Pops, was born simply because I couldn't find the small metal buckets I used for the washcloth lollipops. I found this plastic bucket at the just a $ store and added ribbon, rolled up diapers, the washcloth lollipops, the paper filler and the monkey. Turned out CUTE and I've already sold one! lol

Just a basic, nothing but diapers. Since it was being used to hold balloons.

All in all I am very pleased at how everything turned out.

I got tons of sweet comments and a few orders out of it so it doesn't get any better than that!

Is it crazy that Im going to make a diaper cake for Layla's birthday party?? lol

I love making them and I think they are super cute to decorate with, plus what one year old do you know that can't use diapers?

And I know she is going to get plenty of toys and clothes from others.

I'll post some other time about the "big" gift she is getting from us at her party.

Jaxson's New Tattoo for Chief

First of all the pic is kinda crappy as it was taken with my phone. I get to the tattoo shop and my batteries are dead ( I had just put new ones in the morning before too) so this had to do.

This tattoo is in memory or honor of my Daddy, "Chief".

Jaxson and my Dad were to go get tattoo's together before he died. We knew my Daddy wanted a pinup (my Dad didn't have any tattoos and this would have been his first). So Jaxson wanted to finish out his sleeve went with a retro nose art pinup and on the bomb it says," Hail to the Chief". Chief is what Ryker called my Daddy. Most people ended up calling him Chief as well but it all started as his grandpa name.

I love how it turned out and can't wait to get a better pic posted but for now this has to do. I love my husband for getting this but more so because he loved my Daddy. I think it was the perfect way to honor Chief in Jaxson style. It's awesome!!

Jaxson will finish out his sleeve next Thursday and its going to look awesome! Im excited for him! I hope to be back soon with better pics and the finished product.

One Year Ago Today...

This beautiful little princess entered the world at 12:28 pm and she had us all wrapped around her perfect little fingers!She has given us a full year of love, hope, faith, kisses, laughs, memories and a reminder that life goes on and of God's faithfulness.
She is truly the "perfect" baby. Never really crying or fussing. Always smiling and loving on us. And making us all laugh over her silly and way to old for her own good ways.

With eyes and lashes that bring men & women to their knees. And sweet lil kisses that make all the wrongs right.

Diaper cake for a customer. All she wanted was diapers and a boy theme. I think it turned out pretty darn cute!
The stork bundle is for the same shower but a different customer! lol
I could have done an all blue stork bundle but went another way with it.

Since it was for the same shower I wanted something besides an all blue blanket since the diaper cake is all blue and white.

I just hope my customers and the mother to be like!

*I've gotten several emails about the post I made about my mother. Im working on a very long epic post that may or may not post in the next few days. And that's all I have to say about that for now.

*This is Ryker's last week of school before Summer break. I am totally excited for the Summer and can't wait for endless days by the pool & BBQ's with good friends and good drinks! I will also see my baby girl turn one June 4th! My bff, Brandy, is giving birth to a sweet baby boy, Braxton, on June 2. And my SIL, Jordan, is due to give birth (and make me a AUNT) in July! Plus swimming lessons, baseball/softball games, trips to the library and so much other fun things!

*My SIL, Jordan's baby shower is this weekend and I feel totally not ready. I also have several orders that need to be filled on top of all of the stuff I need to do for her shower. Plus I have a huge order that has to been done by Friday afternoon. Seems the lazy Summer I was hoping for just might not happen for a while! lol

*Anyone else feel like they can't stay on top of their daily chores? God, I totally can't seem to keep up anymore. I don't know why. And it's driving me crazy!

Another yummy-lish recipe:

BROWNIE PEANUT BUTTER CUPS

Preheat oven to 350°.

Spray or grease 12 muffin cups.
In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine sugar, butter, and water. Microwave on high for 1 minute or until butter is melted. Stir in 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips until melted. Stir in egg and vanilla extract. Add flour and baking soda, stirring until blended. Allow to cool to room temperature. Then, stir in 1/2 cup each peanut butter chips and semi-sweet chocolate chips. Spoon batter by heaping tablespoonfuls into muffin cups.
Bake for 13-15 minutes or until top is set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out slightly wet. Place pan on wire rack. Centers of brownies will fall upon cooling. If not, tap centers with the back of a teaspoon to make a hole.
Place peanut butter in a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high for 45 seconds, then stir. While brownies are still hot, spoon about a tablespoon of peanut butter into the center of each brownie. Top with semi-sweet chocolate chips and peanut butter chips. Cool completely in pan.

Double chocolate cheesecake layered cake

See all of those layers. They are chocolate cake, brownie, cheesecake and chocolate frosting.

What you need:

2 8 oz packages softened cream cheese

1/2 Cup sugar

2 eggs

1 brownie mix 9x13 inch size

1 chocolate cake mix

Favorite Chocolate Frosting Recipe, prepared (tripled)

What you do:1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Place cream cheese and sugar into a stand or electric mixer bowl. Beat until softened. Beat in the eggs until smooth. Pour into a wax paper lined and greased 9 inch springform pan. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until middle is set and not jiggly. Remove and let cool completely. Refrigerate overnight or for 2-3 hours. Carefully remove sides and transfer to wax paper (I used a giant spatula to help, it's ok if it breaks a little, just piece it together and freeze cheesecake for 30 minutes to firm).Prepare brownie mix according to package directions and divide evenly into 2 wax paper lined and greased 9 inch cake pans. Bake for 25 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean from center. Let cool completely then carefully turn over onto wax paper; set aside.2. Prepare cake mix according to package directions and pour into 2 wax paper lined 9 inch cake pans. Bake for 25 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean from center. Let cool completely then carefully turn over onto wax paper; set aside.3. Place one of the chocolate cake layers onto a cake stand. Spread with a thin layer of chocolate frosting then layer with the brownie. Spread brownie with a thin layer of frosting then top with cheesecake layer. Spread with a thin layer of frosting then layer with remaining chocolate cake layer. Spread entire cake with remaining chocolate frosting. Chill until ready to serve.

And honestly a lot of it has to do with having to pull all that crap out (I am one of those that needs all of my supplies right in front of me), trying to design my layout, then start cranking the suckers out, and then I have to put all my crap back up. Just not something Im feeling at the time.

But Im trying.

OK, girls I need ya! I am desperately trying to declutter and organize our home. Nothing has ever really had a space of it's own, a place to call home. It's like starting from scratch. I mainly need help with all of my crafty stuff and the items for Tickled Pink Boutique. I plan on buying tons of little baskets and bins (matter of fact as soon as I post this blog Im headed to the store to pick some up). Problem is I don't just want those bins stacked together or out in the open. That's almost just as bad as having it all piled up on the tables and any other flat surface that we can find.
I am a pretty frugal person but times are calling for me to be frugal and watch our money closely for the next month. Just lots of extra little things coming our way. Down the road I plan on buying cabinets and storage units just for this but our wallets wont allow that it this time.
So in the mean time give me your best and most fabulous tips to get organized with. I will randomly draw a name of the ones who leave comments and send a lovely thank you package of goodies. TIA!!

Cake stand I made a few weeks ago and just never got around to posting. Came in very handy at my spa party this past Saturday. So simple and so lovely! Great eBay purchase for Miss Layla. Can't wait to see her in it!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this stuff! I don't know why I ever stray and try something else. This makes me skin look & feel fab! Totally changes my skin and I never break out when I use it. Jaxson came home with this set for me tonight and it came with a bonus as well. Love it & him!

I lost the very first male love of my life, my precious, wonderful, amazing Daddy. **************Just wanted to add an edit that I just came back and reread this and if you can understand any of this, good for you! lol I was a total mess writing about Chief last night. Just very tough. I had no plans at all to write anything more than it was 10 months now and that Ryker took this picture of him. My fingers wouldn't stop typing though. There are ton's of errors and most of it just thrown in there. lol I just typed what my heart was screaming to get out for the day. Im not going to take it down but bless you if you read it and get somewhat of any idea as to what I was thinking/trying to say.**************

My heart really is breaking over this loss. Nothing feels the void. On the way to my Mother's house today I broke down. I was thinkin about how he was to take this road every day on his way home from work and how he doesn't any more. How life simply goes on.

HOW?? I just don't get that. Damn it, don't you know we are heartbroken over this man. That our life is NOT the same. Everything is different. And the world acts as if nothing has changed. When all we feel is how EVERYTHING has changed.

Chief was a good man, loved by all who knew him. His death has made a huge impact on so many. And that is a comfort for us left behind who loved him so much. It warms our heart knowing so many other loved him, miss him and really got to see what a wonderful person he was.

I was (and always will) a Daddy's girl. For as long as I can remember my Daddy told me wasn't that guy who wanted a boy, he wanted a girl. Daddy's girl. My Daddy never ever left the house that he didn't swoop me up in his arms and take me with him. He never asked, he just did it. He didn't have to ask he knew I wanted to go and he wanted me to go. He took him on overnight work trips. There was one specific trip that has always been one of my fondest memories. I was no more than 4 and the best part was laying with him in the hotel room watching Little House.

And he was the best Grandpa any kid could as for. At 18 I found myself pregnant and very scared. Who was the first person I went to? The very first person I told? My Daddy. He was awesome. He told me not cry and hugged. He said whats there to be sad about? It's a baby. Only God knows where I would have been without his support. He took Ryker out every Thursday night for a "boys night". And God was he excited about Layla! He had such a soft spot for little girls. That was his baby girl. Jaxson and I stayed at my parents house for 10 days after Layla was born and for that I am so thankful. He really wouldnt have gotten any time with her before he died had we not been there. Every night before he went to bed, he would come get Layla and take her in his room and he layed her on a pillow on his bed. He would just talk to her & get her to bed for the night. Those two hours a night is something I wish Layla could remember for her whole life. Because that's all she has of her "Chief".

She (Layla) is so cute! She see's a picture of him and she points and gives the sweetest smile ever and she says, "Cheef". She kisses his pictures and hugs them. And it's so sweet yet so sad. Her birthday is going to kill me.

It's a little after 4 am and Im awake. Went to bed before 11pm and am now wide awake. Waiting on laundry to turn over. Last night I ordered MILK of PPV and the hubby and grabbed some dinner and sat down to watch it. I really liked the movie. Im not sure what it was I liked about it or what made me want to really watch this (other than the cast. Which was AMAZING!). There were parts of the movie that were slow and all but I couldn't turn away. Sean Penn was just wonderful (as always)! I don't care what character he plays or what the movie is about, he always does such a great job. You may not like his character or the movie but he as an actor is the best. Plus James Franco, Josh Brolin, & Emile Hirsh! All wonderful, talented actors. Not a movie I would own but totally a movie I would recommend.

One of the felt hairclips I made the other night. I have been wanting to try it out and remember to pick a few of the items up on my last trip to Hobby Lobby.

Well it's my birthday too. WooHoo (eyeroll). Not feeling it. At all. Just kinda depressed. And as some of you emailed about a post. No, Jaxson and I are not having problems at all. We are great. It's me. Im down in the dumps. Im not feeling well. I have gained a huge amount of weight and that's not healthy at all. I have a pinched nerve in my hip. Im bruised from falling and the lovely hosptial staff trying to find my vein & blowing 6 out in the mean time. I miss my Daddy (I dont care if you are getting tired of hearing about the poor girl who lost her daddy). These headaches are getting worse. In short, Im falling apart & something has to be done. I just bought this dress on Etsy for Layla for a whole $5. Can't wait to see her in it!

Went to Hobby Lobby last night with birthday cash in tow and went crazy stocking my craft supplies. I will post some of my creations tomorrow or whenever.

Saturday mornings are suppose to be like this.

Jaxson and I were both wide awake way early this morning. It's a slightly rainy, cool morning (which I love!), windows are open and yummy candles are burning. We got up cleaned a little, cooked breakfast, and just spent some together. Before kids were awake, before cell phones started ringing, before people started knocking on the door. It was so lovely!

Yesterday, I ended up in the hospital having to have some test run on my heart and lungs. They spotted something. Very scary. As it turns out there IS something there. They do believe it is nothing to worry about but want me to have to checked out again in 6 months so please say a little prayer for me.

When Ryker came home last night, he brought home these for me:

How sweet is my lil man?!? He is going to make some girl very happy one day. He LOVES giving flowers. He is always bringing flowers and apples to his teachers. Every year he does this several times and all on his own. He buys them for me and my Mom as well. Such a sweet boy! He was so proud of himself!

Frugal Friday Decor Link Party

So today over The Shabby Nest they are hosting a frugal home decor link party and while scared to join Im going to jump in. http://shabbynest.blogspot.com/2009/04/frugal-friday-linky-party.html I took a plain, unpainted, wooden frame from Dollar Tree and spray painted it black.
I then took a small scrap of zebra print fabric and just glued it to a piece of cardboard.
I added the pink L with some fabric glue.
Made the bow and also added that with fabric glue.
And last took some more ribbon and added so I could hang it up on the wall.
Total cost for the project was around $3.

Here is another version of my framed initial prints.
This one I made for the hallway and this one cost even less than $3!
Wooden letter H I spray painted, added to some scrapbook paper, spray painted an old frame I wasn't using and added ribbon as a hanger. Done!

*What I'm reading: Just finished Savannah Breeze by Mary Kay Andrews. I love her books, so funny & sassy! Not sure what Im going to start now. I bought a bunch of books from Goodwill and garage sales over the last few weeks but nothing has just jumped out at me. .

*What I'm watching: Twilight is playing right at this moment but I just finished watching tonight's new The Office and 30 Rock. I gotta say this was the BEST Office. Ever!

*What I'm listening to: No Doubt baby! I told Jaxson I should really pick up a new copy of Tragic Kingdom as mine is long gone and he totally surprised me with a new copy on Tuesday! <3

*What I'm wearing: Capri pj pants & a tank.

*What I'm eating: Out! Far too much eating out here over the last week. I haven't cooked at all in over a week. BAD.

*What I'm enjoying: I've been way to busy to enjoy anything. Tomorrow I plan on going nowhere. Staying home all day & cleaning & getting rid of things. I am on this major purge binge. I want it all gone!!!

*What I'm sniffing: The BEST candle! Our local Goodwill's sell candles made by the disable and I bought one and I am sooooo glad I did. It smells divine, super cheap ($3.49), and really smells the WHOLE house up. I was walking by the front door the other day and I could smell it outside! Now thats what I call awesome!

*What I'm working on: A lil this, a lil that. I have been so busy that I haven't really had too much of a chance to get my craft on and Im starting to have withdrawals! I did think of the perfect little project for my living room and ran to Hobby Lobby the next day and they were out of what I needed. Sucked.

It's 12:05 am and this is the first time today that I have had any real chance to sit down and just be. I ran a crazy amount of errands this morning. Going nonstop from 8:30 till 2. Came home, feed and changed Layla before putting her down for a nap, paid some bills, cleaned a little, passed out myself. Woke up and started up again (or tried to). I have a pinched nerve in my left hip area and an almost useless right leg due to the nasty fall at the ball park. Whenever I woke up the pain was so bad I could hardly stand to move or sit. So, Layla and I just chilled till Daddy came home. I took a couple of Tylenol and felt a little better so I cleaned a little more, washed, dried and put away 4 loads of laundry, ran another errand, started planning my SIL baby shower and took a shower. Whew! Im tired just writing out the recap. lol And I am so sure you all wanted to read all about my day. lol Sorry!

Im just about done for the day though. About to take out the contacts, grab my book and get in the bed. Sounds wonderful. But know this: All I can think about is in the next coming month my life will consist of laying out by the pool soaking up the sun & reading mindless fluff, living off the grill and bottomless mixed drinks. YAY FOR SUMMERTIME!!!!!!!!

Busy Weekend

* Ryker had his little party this weekend. It's the first time that he hasn't had a big party, he just asked two of his friends to come eat, play some games, go a few rounds of lazer tag and spend the night. Well, when we get to the lazer tag place we were pretty much told that their games are for older teens & adults. Crap. I had three upset 9 year olds. But we ended up at the bowling ally and they had a blast! I will try to get pics up in the next few days.

*The night of Ryker's birthday he had a baseball game (that he didn't want to go to) and ended up getting nailed in the eye with a pop up ball. Poor guy has a awful black eye. Crazy thing is on his second birthday he broke his nose at the party and ended up with two black eyes from that. Poor kid! Never had a black eye any other time.

*Two nights later at another baseball game, Im walking back to the stands with french fries for Layla and steeped on a rock which made me twist my ankle and eat the pavement. I have cuts, bruises, a hugely swollen knee and leg, a messed up wrist & arm and the strangest bruise on my palm. Every muscle in my body hurts as well. I always seem to find a way to hurt myself. Im ready for the swelling and sorriness to take a back set but I was on my feet for most of the weekend so Im sure that doesn't help. Im going to try to have Jaxson take some pics (my right knee and leg are almost totally black & blue) just so you can see. lol

*My SIL & I went to a few garage sales & Goodwill Saturday morning. God, I totally forgot how much fun that is! I got some great deals and found 3 things I have been looking for! I will post all about those sometime this week.

*Starting to get ready for Miss Layla Jade's first birthday party. Can you believe that my baby girl is about 6 weeks away from turning one?!? I can't! It's a lil heartbreaking. She is my last baby. Ever. She is growing up so stinkin fast. She is trying so hard to walk, has even taken a few steps all by herself. She cruises all over the place. Talks all the time. The words she uses on a daily basis are: MaMa, DaDa, Baby, Bye Bye, Hi, Book. She can say just about anything but those are the words she uses every day. She loves to dance and sing. Loves her toys, books & the baby doll my Mom & Daddy bought her before she was born. She really loves any type of doll or stuffed animal but that one doll is her baby & it goes everywhere with her. She will eat anything and everything she sees! She loves food and would eat all day if we let her. lol She is also working on teeth 9 and 10! Such a big girl! I can't believe she is almost a year old!

*It's 3 am and I still have boys awake and talking in Ryker's room. It's going to be a long night! lol Hope y'all have had a great weekend!

P.S. I think this is the first picture of me with BOTH of my kids. How bad is that?? lol I was taken last weekend at Brandy's baby shower (with a cell phone). God, I knew I had gained weight but seeing this pic really makes that fact hit home. Jaxson has gained a bunch since we got married last July as well. I think it's time we really step up to the plate and make some changes. Ryker is cheesin hard in the pic and Layla is being her nosy lil self but it's the one pic of us all and even though I am as big as a house I love it!

Nine years ago today I was blessed with this precious lil boy. I felt love for the first time. Real, true, unconditional love. I was given the most perfect gift that anyone could be given when this boy was born to me. He is perfect and he is mine. I love this lil boy more than life itself. I am so very proud to call him my son, to be called his MaMa.

Create Something Every Day (Day 12)

Last week I posted a recipe book I had made to match a towel cake I made for Shounda's bridal shower. So, here is the cake.

I used 3 hand towels, a bottle of bath & body works hand soap, two pot holders and two spoons. Super cute, cheap & got raved about at the shower.

Tomorrow is Ryker's birthday. I can't believe my baby boy is going to be 9!!

Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday weekend! It's Easter so here is a yummy & fun recipe to do with your kids! Resurrection Rolls (fun fact my name means resurrection)
You Will Need:
1 Can Refrigerated Crescent Rolls
8 Large Marshmallows
Melted Butter
Cinnamon & Sugar Mixture
To Make:
Give each child one crescent roll triangle, (this represents Christ's tomb) then one marshmallow (representing His body). Next, dip the marshmallow in the melted butter and roll around in the cinnamon and sugar (representing the oil and spices that were anointed on Christ's body). Lay the marshmallow on the crescent and carefully wrap, making sure that all seems are closed. Bake according to package directions and let cool. Break open the 'tomb' and show your child how Christ has risen and share in His love!

After: I just spray painted the frame black, added some scrapbook paper, a spray painted white H and some ribbon I already had. Cute & cheap!

Ok, so the project for today was so super simple, I really feel like I am cheating by saying it was my "create" something for the day.

I picked up the little white bowl or dish, whatever you want to call it, at Goodwill this week for $0.59! I had the grass-moss stuff & bird from a plant sent to us when my Daddy passed away & or course the ribbon I already had as well. I think it's pretty cute & just the touch of spring I wanted for the kitchen.

I've had such a super busy week! And it's about to get crazier.

Our weekend plans are:

Friday: Baseball game, boil eggs, make Layla's Easter basket.

Sat: Brandy's baby shower. Im one of the two hostess' and we have so much to do so this is going to take ALL day. Dye eggs & make the dishes for Easter lunch. Birthday party for a cousin's lil girl.

Sun: Easter with both families!!

*What I'm reading: Almost finished Goodnight Nobody. Just not that into it but Im planning on finishing it up this evening. I just got a bunch of new books this past weekend at Goodwill so Im ready to start something new.

*What I'm listening to: My fall back, Fall Out Boy!
*What I'm wearing: Jeans & a babydoll top
*What I'm eating: Not much of anything. Just haven't been to hungry. But I am making up for that by drinking tons & tons of coffee, sweet tea & Dr. Pepper. Not so good for me.
*What I'm enjoying: Thrifting! Oh, how I love it! I got so much for so very little. As a matter of fact my next blog is going to be all about what I got & how much I spent.
*What I'm sniffing: Just a stale house. I ran out of all of my candles and haven't made a trip to the store for more. I need to open the windows once it stops raining. I hate a closed up, stale smelling house. I always have the windows and doors open when I can and candles burning.
*What I'm working on: Bunch of goodies! Picture frames. A Cross. More H's. And tons more running through my head.

BTW, I forgot to say but as of right now the create something every day is just pretty much stuff I have on hand already. I have really had to make do with what I have on hand so some of this stuff isn't exactly what I would have done if I had made a trip to the store. Im trying to use what I have bought before moving on.

Ryker had his first baseball game of the season last night & they won!! YAY! Jaxson has a softball game tonight. So, again another busy day. I don't feel like I have stopped in over a week. I need a break!

About two weeks ago I ran across http://thriftydecorchick.blogspot.com/2009/03/you-know-what-spring-means.html. So, although I am super late to the party I wanted to join in. I took one of the many popcorn tins we got from Christmas and turned it into this:

A new trash can for the master bathroom! I think it turned out cute and it cost me nothing! Just some black pray paint, brown paint for the polk a dots and a little ribbon added with my trusty hot glue gun!

I made this for my bff, Brandy. Just a little something she can put on the hospital door and her front door at home. Her baby boy, Braxton is due to be here sometime next month. I promise it's much cuter in person. I don't think I done with it just yet. I need something for the middle and need to add some more curling ribbon and trinkets. Along with his name & stats once he is born. This is the first time I have made anything like this and I am pretty pleased at how it's turned out so far.

I am totally wiped out. Have been going non-stop since I woke up this morning. And I got up shortly before 7 at that. It's now 11 pm!

Just a simple Shadow box frame that I spray painted, some scrapbook paper (its red, not pink) and a wooden letter that I also spray painted. This is going in the entry way. I think. It may end up in our bedroom.

The hubby and I are about to sit down and watch this movie: Ordered it on ppv about a week ago and we are just now getting a chance to watch it. Kids are in bed. Showers have been taken. Clean and comfy pajamas are on.

300th post baby!!!!! And a new craft!

WOW! I can't believe it's my 300th post! Time sure does fly. I truly have had fun with this blog and I am so glad to be able to come back and look at things over the last 2 and half years. I have "meet" some wonderful people all because of this blog and I am truly thankful! Made this today for Layla's new nursery. I saw something like this on another blog and thought I would give it a shot. I already had everything on hand, didn't spend a penny! I think it turned out pretty dang cute. Not sure what Im going to do with it just yet. I may even paint the cork part. But for now I like it just as is.

All there is to this super easy project is to make a garland with ribbon. I just used ribbon and tied scrap ribbon on to the long ribbon. Tie. Tie. Tie. Tie. And then tie some more. Once you have the length you want, take out your every handy glue gun and glue it on! That's all there is to it.

Layla is getting a new room!!

I've been wanting to re-do Layla's nursery forever! Of course I want zebra print and shocking pink! So, I just made up my mind that we are doing it and Im so excited! Here is what we have so far. I made this months ago and it's been hanging on her door ever since. I love it and everyone always comments on it. I have also gotten several orders because of this.

This is her new bedding. My Mom bought it for Layla today off of eBay. It's the same company we got her current bedding from. Pretty dang cute and it has some light pink along with the shocking pink. We got for $49.99 plus shipping! Super deal!

I had these made for Layla by my friend, Traci. She did an awesome job! If yall need letters she is the one you need to go to! I love how they turned out! I stole this pic off of her website but will post a pic of them again once Layla's room is finished.

I made this bow holder around Christmas for Layla. I made two really cause she has that many dang bows! lol I was going to add some zebra stripes but changed my mind. Im just going to leave as is.

All About Me Day

When I went to the mall Friday afternoon Jaxson had yet another surprise for me: this kick ass phone cover! I adore it! Makes me like my phone now! He is such a sweetheart! I love him so much & thank God for such a thoughtful, loving and kind husband!

Friday was a wonderful, relaxing day for me! Jaxson and I woke up, got dressed and headed to lunch sans kiddos! We went to our fave place & just enjoyed the lovely day by eating outside on the patio. After our lunch Jaxson had to go to work so I headed out for a day that was totally full of slefish pleasures! First stop: Spa pedi! OMG! How wonderful this was! It took over an hour and a half and it was nothing but pleasure! My tootsies need some tlc! The color is more of a melon looking color, dont know why it's not showing true to life here.

I needed fills so bad but the guy doing them said I needed a whole new set so I ended up with new nails instead of a fill. BTW, my wedding rings were my great-grandmothers. She left them to me when she died in 1997. I remember from an early age telling her how much I loved them and she always said that they would be mine one day. So, when it was time to shop for our rings I thought really hard about it and went with my heart and used her set as my set. One day they will be passed down to Layla. I hope a very very long time from now. I can't get a picture to do this set justice! They are gorg! They are from the 1940's and in PERFECT condition! Stunning really. I love them! (I swear my fingers aren't that big! They look huge here. I wear a six and a half ring.)

Later that night I ran into the dreaded wal-mart to pick up something and walked past this purse. Ok, first of all I LOVE bucket, drawstring purses. Second I LOVE LOVE anything zebra! I also wear tons of black and white. So, this got picked up. And the best part? Only $14!! Can't beat that baby! I sooooo love this purse!

I was planning on picking this movie up at wal-mart or something like that at midnight on Friday. My sweetheart of a husband had already reserved a copy for me at Hot Topic though. AWW! So sweet he is. It came with a poster and a film strip from the movie. Pretty neat. It's been playing close to non-stop since Friday. lol I love me some Edward! *sigh*

Finished diaper wreath for my bff, Brandy's baby shower! My first one so I think it turned out pretty dang cute! Now all I have to do is found out how many stork bundles and lollipop wash cloths I need to make for the shower and then all of her decor will be done.

This was a custom order for a customer. Super cute! She loved it and so did the mommy to be!

*My grandparents came and picked Ryker up to spend the day shopping with them and then took him home so he could spend the night with them. In turn Jaxson's mom took Layla. So the hubs and I had some much needed time alone on his day off!! YAY for grandparents!!

*My very pregnant SIL and I walked over a mile tonight! Yay for us!!

*Im watching season 1 of 30 Rock. Again. I LOVE, LOVE this show!

*Tomorrow I have the whole afternoon to myself! Im going to get mu nails filled (they need it bad), do a little clothes shopping, go on starbucks run, do some more shopping and then pick up the kids.

*Ryker has two baseball practices tomorrow night and then another one saturday morning. He has already had 2 practices this week alone! Goodness they are 9 and 10! After practice we will meet up with Jaxson grab some dinner and head to walmart to do grocery shopping and wait on the midnight release of TWILIGHT!!! (I've seen Twilight 3 times already & just saw it last saturday but I cant wait to own my very own copy and see all the extra stuff!!)

*Picked my book up again & really like it. Just a fluff read but most of the books I read are just fluff anyway. Glad I picked it up again.

*Have an order for a stork bundle, a diaper wreath and more lollipops. Going to be a busy weekend.

*Im starting to feel the itch for Scrapbooking again. I have no idea where it came from but I feel it. Im hoping to try and get something along those lines done this weekend. But I dont have a lot of scrap stuff (that I like anyway) any more.

The last month we have spent WAY to much money eating out. And Jaxson already spends way to much eating out for lunch almost everyday at work. So, I have deiced with all the extra medical bills and extra bills we have racked up since the start of 2009 we are going to buckle down and pay off our bills, save some money, get on health insurance and just be smarter about our money. Jaxson and I make way too much money for us to be broke. There is no sense in this.

1. Open a saving account for nothing other than savings. This money can not be touched no matter what. We make a deposit every time we get paid & then we forget about it until it's time to make another deposit. I dont care if we just put away $5 every time we get paid, SOMETHING is far better than NOTHING.

2. Our "free" check will now be used to buy groceries, diapers, wipes, our everyday daily needs and so on. None of those things will be bought when our check we use to pay bills comes to us. If that means over buying for the month then so be it. I will budget a small amount for food items that need to be replaced (milk, bread, baby food, ect) out of our bill check. But otherwise that check is for rent, car insurance, cell phone bills, $ we owe elsewhere.

3. I am also going to budget eating out money. A set amount for the month. One amount for Jaxson for lunch when he works but even that will be reduced by half (he can take his lunch when money runs out) and then another amount for us as a family. And that could mean many trips to fast food places or one trip to someplace nice. I dont care just as long as we stick to the budget. Last month we spent over $1,000 eating out! That is WAY to much money on food! We dont spend that on groceries when we eat at home all the time.

4. I have good intentions of writing a weekly or bi-weekly dinner menu but always seem to never follow it. I will admit we pretty much eat the same thing over & over because my husband is far too picky. He could eat the same few things (frozen waffles, frosted flakes, hamburger helper, pb&j and biscuits) over & over & over. He wouldn't care. I on the other hand do care. Most women would be happy if thats all that it took to make their husbands happy but I am sick to death of it. Besides I like cooking. Jaxson eats no veggies. I can get him to eat corn once in a blue moon but other than potatoes he doesnt touch veggies. And I am trying my hardest to get us all healthier. I guess Im just going to have to cook stuff for me & the kids & he can stick to those few things he likes. lol

With that being said here is my first menu for the week of Sunday March 8th-Sat March 14th

*Sunday- Steak with baked potatoes and salad

*Monday- Hamburger Helper (Chili mac) with cornbread

*Tuesday- Grilled Chicken with steamed veggies & rice

*Wed. - Spaghetti with garlic bread & salad

*Thursday - Breakfast (Biscuits with homemade sausage gravy, eggs & bacon)

*Friday - Jaxson's special grilled chicken sandwiches

*Saturday- Jaxson's homemade pizza

Now we may eat those on different days than planned but at least I have an idea of what we are eating during the week & I can just check that dinner off the list. Wish me luck!

Still Sick!!!!

Can you believe this? After 3 trips to the er, just as many to my normal Doctor, two rounds on z-packs, 2 different shots, countless otc meds and other meds and I am STILL SICK!! I can't live like this! Hell, this isn't living. I broke down today for the first time and cried & cried. I have no idea just why I am not getting any better. They told me at the ER tonight that they were going to put me on the big bad daddy of antibiotics (doxycycline) and that if it didnt knock the sinus infection out that it was time to visit an ear, nose & throat doctor. YAY! Something else I can't afford.
Im getting one of those netti pot things Friday when we get paid. We are just way strapped after all the ER visits & meds or I would go ahead and get it. Just don't have the money till then. And Im praying that these meds will in truly do as they say, and totally knock out this infection. I can't go on like this. I cant take care of my family much less myself in this shape. Please say a prayer, send your thoughts & good vibes my way. I could use them.

Made this tonight while trying to find something to do. I have been looking for a hot pink and zebra frame for Layla's nursery and have not found one. Well, if I like it the cheapest was around $50 and sorry not about to pay that for a small frame. So I ended up coming up with this and I do like how it turned out. It was super easy, quick, cheap & turned out cute (so I think)! I just used what I had on hand too. The pic shown isn't the one I will ended up using (the one I want still needs to be printed. It's the one & only photo of her & her Chief were he is looking at the camera instead of her.)

I stopped at Hobby Lobby today and got the stuff for make a St. Patricks day wreath for the front door and I was almost finished covering the base with some jolly, bright green ribbon when I ran out. Sux. I hope to get out tomorrow and pick up some more so I can finish. What I have in my head looks too cute & is very simple! I am also down to just a little under $6 left on the gift card my brother got me from Hobby Lobby for Christmas. I have used the hell out of it & I will be so sad to see it gone. Im totally asking for more of those for my upcoming 28th birthday!

Yet another trip to the ER

Woke up feeling like shit, took Ryker to school. crawled in from the cold and declared to my husband that today could very well be my last. On top of the sinus infection I also have a virial infections and just about enough drainage to swim in. So gross. Here to hoping this is the last trip to the er for many many many moons. I still feel like crap but I can swallow without it killing my throat.

I have been sick since well before Christmas, just can't seem to shake it. I was put on a z-pack about 3 weeks ago and that did help a little but I have still not been 100%. Some days are better than others but for the most part Im going on almost 3 months of not feeling good and on very little sleep.
Now last month when I went to see my Dr. I found out that the headaches I have been having so often are indeed migraines. He decided to put me on a drug called Topamax for the prevention of headaches and migraines (also a wonderful side effect is major weight loss, yay)! Since I dont have insurance (our kids have blue cross but we dont) he was going to get me samples because it cost about $200 a month. I have been waiting and waiting and he still hasn't gotten any so I called him this week and asked about just writing me a script so I could go ahead and get on it. I was never able to get a hold of him (come to find out their phone lines were down till Friday evening). I told the DR on call that I have had a migraine since Tuesday and have taken everything I could get my hands on trying to get rid of it. He called me in a pain killer called, Tramadol. Nothing. Didn't help so I called him back and told me to go to the ER. I get there and wait over 2 hours to be seen. They blew a vein, gave me some drugs that didn't help (vicodin anyone?? If they would have given me that I know it would have helped even if all it did was mask the pain), took me for a MRI, my oxygen levels ended up going down to a scary 74%, I wasn't able to catch my breath and so on so they keep me for a few hours longer to be watched. Finally I was able to go home and the ER Dr (Dr. Dunnahoo who was totally awesome! I could not get over how well he listened and how concerned he was for an ER doc) came in to tell me that it showed on the MRI that I had one of the worst cases of sinusitus (sinus infection) he has ever seen. Which in turn was bringing on the migraines. So I was put on yet another z-pack and a drug called prochlorperazine. I have slept most of the day and when I do wake up I feel like I have the worst hangover known to man. But it's nice to know what is causing this and that no matter what you may have heard, my head and brain scans are totally fine. lol =) I have to follow up with my family Dr this coming week and get on that topamax. So keep me in your your prayers and thoughts as we try to get me well.

I also wanted to post a pic a of this centerpiece I made for Brandy's shower. It's a mint "cake". I just took three foam circles and hotglued It's a boy mints all over and added a blue teddy bear cupcake pick. Im thinking I may add so curling ribbon or something of the like but dont know yet.

I so can't wait to know whats cooking in there! Im taking my youngest sil, Julie, clothes shopping this weekend. She needs clothes something bad and since her mother wont do it, Jaxson and I are. I hope to have her spend the night Friday and take her the next day after a birthday party. Speaking of, Miss Tyla is turning one and I have NO CLUE as to what to get her. Her Mom orders tons of bows, tutus and stuff but I want something other than that. Got any ideas?

Im sooooo glad it's Friday!! My Mom, Gangle (as the kids call her), is keeping Ryker & Layla so we can go out for Valentines as Jaxson has to close his store tomorrow night. He was going to take me to the new Shopaholic movie (love those books) but Twilight is back and I really want to see it again so I asked if we could see that instead. lol We are also going to dinner (dont know where) and thats all I know about tonight. It will be nice to have some alone time with the hubby no matter what he has in store.

I couldnt sleep for crap last night and now Im so sleepy! Im hoping Layla will take a nap shortly and I can lay down for a quick nap. I did work on a few things last night while I couldn't sleep. Im not sure about the washcloth treats but I need to play around with them until I get what I want. I also made some washcloth candies. I hope to have time to run to the store and get a few supplies today but I already have a jam packed day and if I can find time to nap that would be great! I will leave you with a few pics of some of the things I came up with last night! Happy friday the 13th to you all!

P.S. The washcloth treats are a pair of baby bootie socks wrapped in a baby washcloth tied with ribbon, curling ribbon and little plastic baby trinkets.

One of my sister in laws just found she is having a baby boy!! Jace will be here in July and she I went shopping last night and got his bedding and other goodies for him as well. I bought a pack of blankets that matches his bedding to make some stork bundles for him. This is his bathtime bundle. I love how it turned out! Im working on his washcloth lolipops right now but needed a smoke break so I thought I would post real quick!

I have a few more things I need to make for a few other babies coming into our lives soon. And Im sure they will be getting stork bundles as well!

So, my bff, Brandy, is having a baby in May. And we (her sil and myself) are hosting a shower for her. Brandy made Layla the cutest stinkin diaper cake crammed full of goodies so I thought about doing one as well. And it got me to thinking about all the other stuff I could do. I played with this tonight while Layla was sleeping and got this cute little stork bundle! I think it turned out adorable!

Jaxson is off tomorrow and we are going to Dallas to shop! We are also stopping at the outlet malls on the way! FUN! My Mom is watching the kids Friday night so we can go out for Valentines as Jaxson has to close the store Saturday. Busy week so far but at least some of its fun!

Getting ready for my best friends baby shower a lil over a month away. Myself and her SIL are throwing it and have tons to do! And as of right now the baby's sex is still a surprise! So it's kinda have been hard. She will find out soon she thinks. If the baby will let us see! She has less than 3 months to go and still have not find out whats cooking in there! lol
