My Daddy died

With a very sad & heavy heart I have to write & say that on Wed. July 2, 2008 my Daddy died.
Sunday night he suffered a massive heart attack & the told us that he would not make it through the night but not only did he make it through the night he made it through most of the week. But his heart was just so sick that he couldn't continue in this life. He was airlifted to Baylor hospital in Dallas (they told us the the transport would be very rough on him because he was on life support & so on, he was just so critical & sick & it would more than likely kill him) when they landed in Dallas he started to crash & didn't make it. My Daddy at 52 years old is dead. 4 weeks to the day after his beautiful granddaughter was born. My heart is beyoud broken. I have never ever felt so broken, so hurt, so angry. He was in good shape, so we thought. This was out of the blue. We now know that the only reason he made it through Sunday night was for us. Because we would be worse off if he had died that night. I am so fuckin angry right now I could scream! I want to fuckin hurt someone or something so goddamn bad!!!!! I can't take this.

I am so so so sorry. I truly can't imagine how I would cope with my father dying, especially suddenly and unexpectedly. My heart breaks for you.

I am so glad he got a chance to at least meet your daughter. That picture is beautiful.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I certainly understand. I lost my mother to breast cancer almost 11 years ago and I still get angry and miss her every single day.

I'm hoping you are doing ok. Email me if you need to talk. I do understand how you feel. You just can't know until you've walked in those shoes.

((hugs))

You don't know me... I just happened upon your blog.

I am so sorry about your dad. How horrible that he went so fast without time to say goodbye to all those he loved.

I lost my dad last year and I still grieve for him. I'm so happy your dad got to see your baby girl before he died.

My 24 year old daughter told me she was pregnant the day before my dad's funeral. My precious grandbaby was conceived during the 5 weeks my dad was dying in Stanford. (Complications from brain surgery)

Treasure those photos of your daddy and kids, they are so precious.
